Clinical Assistant Professor NC A&T State University School of Nursing

I have been a nurse for about 13 years.  As an alumnus of this great School of Nursing, I aim to provide my students with the knowledge, skills, encouragement, and empowerment that are needed to be an excellent nurse and individual.  Nursing is an art and a science.  The science of nursing is based on an ever changing body of knowledge that is inspired by new technologies, new discoveries, and new inventions.  The art of nursing is based on an inner ability to be compassionate, respectful, nonjudgmental, and caring for yourself, as well as those that you serve.  The main things that I stress to my students are to believe in yourself and your abilities, always understand why you are doing what you do, and always be prepared, for preparation will lead to great opportunities.
