The Surgical Technician Program (Surg-Tech) was recently created to provide
Certified Surgical Technicians the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing. Students will begin an intense program of study to complete lower division
requirements within 1 year so as to begin upper division curriculum courses the
following year. All students must have completed all lower division requirements and
maintain a minimum grade-point-average of 2.6 to be accepted into the upper division.
The overall goal of the program is to prepare qualified individuals with the ability to
expand their current medical experiences into the field of professional nursing.
