The National Library of Medicine and the History of Medicine Division are pleased to
announce the opening of the mini-exhibition "Opening Doors: Contemporary African
American Academic Surgeons."
The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the History of Medicine Division and
the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture and
celebrates the contributions of African American academic surgeons to medicine and
medical education.
The exhibition is open to the public Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. in the
History of Medicine Division of the National Library of Medicine, Building 38 on the NIH
campus, as well as at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore beginning February 1
through May 31, 2007.
