The School of Nursing's Office of Student Services unit serves as a communication link
between students, faculty, administration, and University offices. Recruitment and
retention of students is a major function of the unit. Student Services serves as a
liaison between the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Admissions, University
Studies, and Student Affairs.

We are pleased that you are interested in receiving information regarding admission
to the School of Nursing at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.
The School of Nursing is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and
accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
A student must be admitted to the University before they can be considered for the
nursing program. Freshmen and transfer students admitted to the University as
"Pre-Nursing" majors must have a combined SAT score of 800 (in state) and a
cumulative high school average of "B" (3.0) or above. Out of state students must
have a combined SAT score of 950 and a cumulative high school average of "B"
(3.0) or above. Students not meeting the above criteria, but admitted to the University,
may take the required general education courses for the freshman year (University
Studies Courses) and take specified pre-requisites for nursing. At the time that a
universithy GPA of 2.8 is achieved, a student may be declared a pre-nursing major
if desired.
Students are formally admitted into the School of Nursing at the junior level.
Admission to the University does not guarantee acceptance into the Nursing
Program. Admission into the School of Nursing is competitive.
